Happy Days

At times, life is bliss. My 1969 Land Cruiser is finally finished, the Colts won the Super Bowl, in two days I'm going to Florida with my best friend, and for the first time ever, there's a person in my life that means more to me than life itself. About four months ago, I wanted to throw in the towel. I was so fed up with who I'd become that I was going to try to run from my problems, but she wouldn't let me. After what I did, she was the one who should have abandoned me. Instead, she showed me God's love and grace...she didn't give up on me, even though I had. She showed me that it's not the mistakes we make, it's what we do after we make a mistake that determines who we are. In all honesty, if it hadn't been for Lara, I don't know where I'd be right now. I know it's only February, but I asked her to Junior Senior anyway. Guess what? She said yes. For once in my life, everything is perfect.

(For the record, even if the Colts had lost the Super Bowl, I still would have been happy.)
