Goin' on a Coon Hunt

For those of you who don't know, my dad is slightly crazy....in a good way, of course. A few weeks back, he went up to check on the lake. You know, normal lake stuff; check the water, look for geese, shoot at said geese if they happen to be stupid enough to actually be there...normal stuff. Imagine his surprise when he found not one, but two raccoons sitting and waiting for him. And they were vicious raccons with big pointy teeth. Unfortuanately for them, they were caught in snares.

Being the good doctor my father is, he decided to set them free (rather than the much easier alternative of blowing them away). He used a method that could be called....interesting. Using his baseball glove, he pinned the raccoons long enough for Jake to cut the snares. Dad was injured in the scuffle, but not seriously, although I suspect he now has rabies.

One of the raccoons proceeded to run straight into another snare after being freed. Stupid thing. Basically, that's the most entertaining thing I had to write today.

Comments:
What does he shoot said geese with? A shotgun, or something more exciting, like a Tommy gun, .45, rocket launcher, or sniper rifle? I think using a Tommy gun would offer a more colorful goose hunt.

I would have shot the 'coons, too. Good for him, though. It must have been a challenge. Racoons are kind of... not liking being close to humans.
