Magnificent Maestro
John Williams is officially my favorite composer. Yes, he wrote the music to Star Wars, but that's not the reason that he's my favorite. Ok.....it is. Anyway, here's a short list of the movies he composed the music for.
Indiana Jones
Jurrasic Park
Jaws
Harry Potter
E.T.
Superman
Saving Private Ryan
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
The Patriot
Far and Away (Don't worry. I've never watched it.)
Home Alone
Born on the Fourth of July
and he even wrote music for the Olympics. The guy rocks...er...plays classical. I don't know what I'm talking about. You do have to admit, though. The guy is good. I'd rather listen to him than Bach or Mozart or Picasso. Just kidding about Picasso. I know he was a baseball player. If you can't tell, I'm rambling. I'm sitting at my computer, listening to John Williams, specifically Hymn of the Fallen from Saving Private Ryan, caught up in the fact that the Spanish play is over. Surprisingly, it went very well. Thank goodness. Even though trees fell over and people made up words (I said contre. What is contre?), I think people liked it. Especially the lightsabers. Woot to Christopher and Joe for their awesome duel. Wow. I'm weird today. Of course, when am I ever normal? I think Trigonometry, or 80's hour as some call it, messed with my head. Woot for awful fashions that thankfully died out. I think I'll go play DOOM now. Yeah.........that sounds good. If you read all of this, you are awarded three-count em. Three-kudo points. You can redeem those for three million dollars at your local You're a Moron store.

Handshake
I don't know how long Sam and I worked on this, but I think it's flipping awesome...just like DOOM (see post titled DOOM 3 if confused). Oddly enough, every part to this has a meaning. If that meaning completely alludes you, don't feel bad. No one understands us.

DOOM 3
This is for Sam Liedtke, my fellow DOOM buddy (we stayed up until 1:45 to beat the game). He and I learned that while in a demon-possessed facility on Mars, run first, shoot second, then ask questions long after the vile demon thing that has attacked you is dead. Very cool game.

Season Opener
First off, tour went great. We saw the Liedtkes and got to meet some of Sam's friends. Jeff (cowpie) and Terrence, I'm glad that I met you guys.
Secondly, as I have told many people, I don't really like being on the baseball team. Today is a good example of why. I started (because there were only ten of us there) in left field. In the top of the fourth, a towering line drive was hit my way....over my head. I started running, tracking the ball with all of my attention. As it began to fall, I jumped...into the fence. I tore a hole in my shirt and got a nice set of marks from the chain links on my arm. The ball didn't go over the fence, but I didn't catch it. We still managed to lose by 13 runs. Oh well.
