DDR

I have a new addiction. I never really had an old one, but I sure as heck have a new one. Yesterday, Chris Thomas and I played four hours of the greatest game ever made. No, it's not Halo 2. It's Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3. We spent a good hour and a half searching for the game and two dance pads, only to learn later that Meijer had them for cheaper than we paid at Game Stop. Oh well. The game rocks! We also happen to be awesome at it. So if I tell you I have "plans," I'm probably finding an excuse just so I can play DDR.

P.S. Chris and I are learning the dance steps to Thriller. Don't ask for a sneak peek. You'll never get one.

Satan, Thy Name is BRANDY ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a message to all the Varsity girls......you did great. You put on spectacular show, only to be gipped by the (strange) officiating. I know it probably doesn't make you feel any better, but we're all very proud of you. Keep your heads up, and kick B.A.s fat derriere next year.

Bohemian Rhapsody (MD Style)

This commercial is awesome. It is possibly the best version of Bohemian Rhapsody ever made. Just watch it. (Oh yeah. Turn the volume way up.)

My Dear Friend Blinky

This post is dedicated to a man you all know (and should love). His name is Joseph Prelock, better known as Yoshi. I've known him for many years, but when we were younger, he scared me......to death. I thought for sure that he would eat me. Yet I have learned that you cannot judge a book by its cover. Joe is a lamb in wolf's clothing, and I'm happy that I've been able to be in FMT with him, play soccer with him, and most importantly, do absolutely nothing while with him. He's really not that bad once you get to know him. Thank you for being a good friend, Yoshi, and godspeed!

P.S. If you'd like me to leave a post about you, just let me know.

Dear Anonymous

Whoever you are, I'm disallowing anonymous comments due to your crude remarks. I don't know who you are, and it's probably best that I don't. I don't understand why you have to leave stupid remarks, and hopefully you will think about your comments before you leave them.

"Business Trip"

Yeah....so my parents just got back from a week-long "business trip". Supposedly, this was one of those trips that every working man must embark on every 5 or 6 months (for my dad anyway) to keep his job and learn what is going on outside of the tiny town in which he lives. However, I highly doubt there was a business aspect to this trip. I think it was a cleverly disguised vacation. Why? They went to Hawaii. Oh yeah, there were seminars and meetings and other important things.....that took up about two hours of the morning. They then got the rest of the day off. Wow. Sounds like a rough life. During this "business trip" (I will continue to use quotes, you can all mock me later), my parents went SCUBA diving, toured the U.S.S. Arizona memorial, visited the U.S.S. Missouri, sunbathed on the gorgeous beaches, interacted with dolphins, and even flew over one of the active volcanoes. I have never wanted to go on a "business trip" before, but if this is what they're like, sign me up!

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates......

It really is. There are things you like, but often times they're hard to find (like mint-filled truffles). Some things look good, and turn out to be terrible (like a chocolate thing filled with cashews). Sometimes, you're surprised with an unexpected "chocolate" that brightens your day. Sometimes, you've eaten one to many. Today, I think, was one chocolate too many. As much as I enjoy days off of school, I didn't want today off. Now I'm going to forget everything I re-learned in the past four days. Again. Ugghhh.....I need help. However, there have been some good things lately. I've determined that I really enjoy the company of my fellow classmates, be they Juniors, Seniors, or Sophomores. I'd like to just sit down and talk with everyone, learn who they really are. In a few months, many of you will graduate, and I'll never see you again. Thankfully, all of you friggin' awesome Juniors will be around next year. (Sigh) Well, for right now, I'm thankful for all the friends God has allowed me to have, and for all the things they do that make my life an enjoyable box of sweets. I love all of you guys.

Nightmare Makers

I saw Peter Jackson's King Kong quite a while ago. I thought that it was a very cool movie...except for one thing. There were these leech things that folded their stomachs out and "sucked" people to death. They were DISGUSTING!!!! Last night, I dreamt that I was on a houseboat with some friends. These things came out of the water and ate everyone. I watched helpless as they were digested. I could do nothing because one leech was on my leg and one was on my arm. That's when I woke up. I looked everywhere on the internet for a picture so you could share in my disgust/horror. Alas, no pictures exist. Just watch King Kong. Then you'll understand.

Stupid Holiday

Valentine's Day is essentially...

S ingle
A wareness
T hrough
A bsence of
N ovia (the Spanish word for girlfriend)

Day. I think I would appreciate it more if I had a "special someone" (gag), but I don't. So as of right now, I hate Valentine's Day. That is not to say that I hate people who enjoy it. I just hate V-day. So there.

Stupid Blog

Ok....so I tried to add a few links over to the left, and they won't line up right. I can't fix it. If anyone knows what to do, tell me. It's driving me CRAZY!!!

Also, my icon will now be the beluga whale that disturbed so many of you. Just letting you know.

Best Week Off Ever

Personally, this has been one of the most fun weeks I've had in a long time, and it has nothing to do with being away from everyone. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder. Any way, before I break down and cry, let me continue. Sunday was my dad's birthday as well as the superbowl. (Mick Jagger is disgusting by the way.)

Monday, I watched four hours of 24 then went bowling with Joey, and watched the new episode of 24.

Tuesday, I went to Shedd Aquarium (if you didn't read my last post.) I want a pet beluga whale. We got lost. We got home. Whatever.

Wednesday, I did absolutely nothing and it was great! Thursday was the best though. I got up at 10 and watched all 6 Star Wars. Greatest day off ever. I didn't move, except to change DVDs and use the restroom, for over thirteen hours.

Today is my mom's birthday, and we're going to Logan's for dinner, so it will be a good day. (Seriously though, sniff... I miss all of you.)

Shedd Aquarium

Yesterday, my family and I went up to Chicago to visit Shedd Aquarium. I don't think I'd ever been there before, and it was pretty cool. After visiting various animals, I decided that I'd like to have a pet Beluga Whale. So any way, on our way home, we got lost in the bowels of Chicago. Not good. My mom was paranoid and kept locking the doors. We eventually made it home, and all is well. (I still want a pet Beluga Whale.)

Something Everyone Must Do Before They Die

There are just some things everyone must do before they die. For example, some day I have to go sky diving. (If that sounds good to anyone, just let me know.) I also have to be in a food fight. One thing everyone must do is go to Second Baptist on 18th Street. They had the most awesome service ever. In all of my 3 years in FMT, nothing has been as fun as that. The message was also really good. I felt like it was directed at me. It was pretty cool. So, if you ever get the chance to go skydiving or go to Second Baptist, do it.
